Who We Are

Founded in 1919 for the amateur, enthusiast and professional gardener, Banchory Gardening Club has been celebrating all things horticultural ever since. Every year we organise winter talks, social events, garden tours, the Annual Plant Sale and Annual Show.

Our objective is to inspire gardening and a love of nature across the generations as an antidote to the fast-paced lives we live today. We provide a forum where members can ask advice and share knowledge on sowing and growing in NE Scotland – from container planting and vegetable growing to perennial problems and tips on getting started with your own nature-friendly wildflower meadow, against a backdrop of ever changing climatic conditions.
