What we do

We are a local Gardening Club whose members are in excess of 150 individuals. Membership of the Club cost just £7 per year and runs from 1st September to the end of August. Most members pay their renewal at the Annual Show which is held the first weekend in September. However, because of Covid and cancellation of the 2021 Show membership fees will be collected at the AGM on 4th October in Banchory East Church Hall. If you wish to join and are unable to attend please get in touch via the contact page.

Each year in on the last Saturday in May we have a Plant Sale with refreshments in the Scout HQ. A group of members sow and raise many of the plants for sale.

Some of the hundreds of plants sown, raised and brought on by the plant sale team.

From January to April, we hold monthly talks and workshops run by local experts. We also run Christmas classes. The rest of the year is for gardening!

A festive arrangement workshop

Every year we hold a Flower Show in the Town Hall on the first weekend of September. There are lots of classes to enter from beginners to advanced, and all ages. Membership of the club is £7 for a year and includes a programme and free entry to the Show.
